As I reflect on my time spent with my grandpa over the years I have a greater appreciation for the memories he has left me with. Some of my fondest memories are of me driving him around Bakersfield, Arvin, and Shafter looking for his next car. This journey would usually culminate with him and I stopping at a bar or two for some refreshments. While there my grandpa would share with me the greatest stories I’ve ever heard. These stories would range from his frog gigging nights when he was a boy living in Shafter to his journey to Oregon where he bought a truck load of Christmas Trees to sell. The stories kept me on the edge of my seat When my grandpa told me a story about one of his many wild adventures the best part was always when he would break out into laughter. For me his laugh was infectious and will truly be missed but not forgotten.
